Further to our notice regarding the PDGA international event in October (Succoth):

We have received authorization from the park manager to run the event. However, he wants to know in advance how many people will attend. Please sign up ASAP by paying for the event (see first post for details).

Furthermore please reserve a room if you intend to sleep in a room there...there are very few rooms and it is a busy time of the year....

We are also offering players the option to play Friday-Saturday instead of Thursday-Friday, but only if at least 4 people sign up by the end of this week (pay the amuta for participation).

We are also going to arrange food/drinks/snacks as part of the player package and perhaps other goodies.

there are no bungalows available on 1-3 October at the park.

However, there is a nice place to stay near the course, at Sde Nitzan, that is available for these dates. The place can host 4 people. The best way to get from/to there is by car.

We are opening the three days for 1-day participation as a parallel non-PDGA event at the regular fees (60 NIS; 10 off for under-18/ladies/IDGA members and 20 offfor first timers). 2-day players will be in separate groups and cards from the 1-day players.

Player pack is now an event shirt and a marker, we are working on getting more from a sponsor

Anyone who can come earlier to help do work on the course is welcome

Good morning gentleman.

Bruce and I went down to the course on Friday and worked and made notes on what needs to be done. I cc'd Yuvall as well for some park help.

I pruned more holes in Eshkol and made couple of notes. Hope to see you this week.

1. I would like to prune out the two green trees and brush on the fairway of 7. Right before the brown thorn trees.
2. Can we get the park to brushhog/trim the whole fairway on #8.? I've gotten almost all of the branches away from the basket.
3. The whole hedge above the walls on 9 needs to be trimmed back. I started doing it but without power tools and would take me all day. I would still like to do the end of the walls near the basket too. Trim the brush away from the wall so you can see the landing zones and wall.
4.Marker stones for the short tees on 16.
5. Marker Tee "17" stone for hole 17. Install short tees for 17.
6. Stone marker for 18.
7. Change distances on signs for both 17 and 18 holes since they were moved.
17- 120m.
18- 81m.

Martin if you could make the meter adjustments on 17 and 18 from above to the web sites that would be helpful. The tee pads for 17 and 18 are installed. We will need to find where the park put the sign for hole17 as well. The parking lots and bulldozing have leveled everything out from hole 16 to 18. It is not as pretty as it used to be. Thankfully the basket on 16 is still in what little trees are left and the tee's for 17 and 18 are shaded.

If anybody plays the course before the tournament please take a pair of small clippers with you and snip as you walk. All of the walking paths that I put in after some of the baskets are still there and manicured. The course looks good in general. 17 pics below. Martin, use the 17 flight plan to make your own flight plan on one of the other photos as a reference. The basket is slighty to the right of the tree and over the hill. The way the basket is positioned, anything that doesn't go in the basket rolls away.

Yehuda had some amazing shots for example at improvised hole 17 - a high throw through a small gap to over 100m, right next to the basket; and a huge anhyzer at basket 3 from next to the mando that also led to a birdie

Well done!

CTP was won by Sean Balogh who was also second place in MA2 category.
Must have been a great shot on the tight hole]
