Please note some updates to the competition for both categories, in particular the recreational are eligibile for prizes for competing on either of days 22.4, 24.4, and four top players of the pro category will be entitled to compete in the extra 9 baskets on the second day

[ltr]As part of the preparation to the event, our sponsors Hadera Municipality and the Society for Promotion of Culture in Hadera invited us to take part in the Hadera March to celebrate 120 years for Hadera.

Ayal Aharon, Michael Elsner, Ido Margolin, Bruce Weber and Zvi Teff went to Hadera Forest on the morning of 1 April to introduce people at the March to the sport.
We set up a triangle of baskets with tees at various distances in the put area of the event.

A big banner informed the marchers of the event at the start of the march, as well as a loudspeaker annoncement of a disc golf station for the people to stop at during the march.

About 500 people stopped along the march at our station to play for a few minutes. Each player got a short explanation, a putter and a flyer kindly prepared by the Municipality, and came first to a 5m put tee, at which there was always one of us, to help them

After that basket they went on to farther baskets, where there was again one of us to help always.

Fortunately we came to the forest about an hour early and found out that there was another, earlier march going through the same place!

By about 3 hours later we were exhausted and went to do some of the course as a reward for our efforts

The course is mean!!! a lookout is imperative - we lost lots of discs [/ltr]

הי כולם

הארוע כן מתקיים מחר למרות שצפוי גשם.

כדאי להביא ציוד לגשם, נעליים גבוהות ומכנסיים ארוכים.

אנו נתחיל לשחק ב-9, לא לאחר כדי להימנע מקנס בנקודות.

לשים לב שכדאי להיכנס ליער מדרך העפר השמאלי.

מקווה שאני אצליח להגיע בזמן בלי לקבל קנס....הלילה עדיין ארוך מאוד

איזה יום מטורף עבר על שחקני הגולף היום.
ההקמות החלו מוקדם מוקדם.... צוות האירוע התחיל את היום לפני 6 בבוקר
הקמה של מסלול עם 18 סלים, עמדות זריקה, שלטים ועוד הרבה הפתעות....

שני רכבי 4X4 עבדו בשטח כדי לבנות מסלול שעוד לא נראה כמותו בישראל!!!

לאירוע הגיעו טובי השחקנים בישראל וכמו כן גם כמה שחקנים חדשים שבאו לנסות את הענף בפעם הראשונה בחיים....אמיץ מאוד.

מזג האויר היה פסטורלי...שילוב של מרחבים ירוקים, שמיים צבעוניים ואפילו סוסים ברקע.
סלי הברזל הישראליים עמדו כמו יהלומים על הגבעות, כאשר השמש מנצנצת בין השרשראות, והדגלים מתנופפים ברוח הקלילה.

5 קבוצות יצאו אל השטח מבלי לדעת מה הולך לקרות...

לקראת השעה 11:15 הרוחות החלו לנשב בעוצמה, והעננים הפכו צבעם לאפור כהה....לא עבר זמן עד שטיפות הגשם החלו להפריע לצלחות במעופן.
הגשם והרוח התחזקו והמשחק הפך לגולף אקסטרים...אפילו קים, שחקן שהגיע במיוחד לאירוע מקוריאה, לא ציפה למזג אויר שכזה.

שתי אורחות שהיו בדרך נתקעו בחולות היער וחולצו אחרי מאמצים רבים (יהודה, אולי אתה תוכל להרחיב בנושא)...

סלי הברזל עמדו בגבורה במזג האויר הקשה אבל הסלים המתקפלים נפלו מהרוח וכמוהם גם שלטי המסלול.

עידו, יש תוצאות ביניים? רוצים לדעת מה צפוי לקראת הפיינל פור מחר...

שלום לכולם ושבוע טוב.
רציתי לעדכן שלא השתתפתי אתמול בתחרות למרות ששילמתי.
הייתה אתמול התפתחות בלתי צפויה ונאלצתי לא לשחק.
מבקש מהמארגנים לשים את כספי בצד על מנת להחזיר לי באירוע הבא או משהו.

נו... מי עלה לפיינל פור? מי ניצח בתחרות?

thank you sung bae kim from korea to travel 12 hours each way to participate in the event
thank's alot haaim the rabbi from jerusalem for letting me know how much you like the layout and the organiztion
i realy wish the event will be the opening of a pdga course in israel and i will help create it
the results and the prizes will be published soon
... i can say that haaim won the open - with -3 on 36 station -18*2 - wowwwww

כל הכבוד על הארגון. האירוע המושקע ביותר עד כה בתחום הדיסקגולף בישראל.
למרות כל הקשיים והאתגרים הצלחתם להפיק אירוע מגניב ביותר.

חבל שלא הצלחתי להשתתף בתור שחקן פעיל, אבל את החוויה של פירוק המסלול בגשם מטורף עם הג׳יפ של ג׳יימס אני לא אשכח בחיים...היה כיף.

התמונות יפות מאוד, אשמח אם תוכל להעלות אותן לחשבון הפליקר המשותף שלנו.

[ltr]I would like to send a million thank you's to all of the people involved in setting up the tournament and the course. It took an incredible amount of time and energy to arrange the whole event. The course was excellent. Without our own course in Israel yet, it was a real treat to play a real course with baskets. Hopefully this will be a step forward towards a permanent course. I feel strongly that a permanent course in an area (Tel Aviv best bet) that is accessible to a lot of people is the best strategy to make disc golf grow in Israel.
