אליפות העולם בפריסטייל 2011

בוקר טוב לעולם הפריסטייל הישראלי
השנה בתאריכים 10-13 באוגוסט תפתח בפראג, צ'כיה אליפות העולם לפריסטייל לשנת 2011.

למי שלא יודע, בכל שנה אליפות העולם בפריסטייל מתנהלת במקום אחר בעולם, בדרך כלל במערב אירופה או בארה"ב ומגיעים לתחרות מתמודדים מכל העולם- ארה"ב, איטליה, גרמניה, שוודיה ואפילו מישראל. בשנה האחרונה האליפות הייתה בסיאטל וושינגטון, שם זכו בזוגות ארתור קודינגטון ומתאו גדוני, רטו צימרמן קליי קולרה ויואקים ארבסקר בשלשות, ליסה הנריקס וסינדי (לשעבר קרוגר) סן מארי בנשים, ודייב ואיימי שילר במעורבים.

ב2003 - 2004 התחרות התקיימה ברימיני איטליה מה שמשך כמויות מסחריות של שחקנים מאירופה והצמיח המון שחקנים אירופאים חדשים. מאז בערך בכל אליפות עולם יש בסביבות ה90-110 מתמודדים, וזה עוד בלי הקהל שמגיע לראות ולהתלהב בסופ"ש. שנה שעברה היו כ100 מתמודדים, והשנה נראה שהולכים לשבור שיא.

אני אהיה שם בוודאות וגם אהיה בטורניר מקדים בברלין שבוע לפני. אני אשמח לדעת על עוד ישראלים שמתכננים/רוצים/נוסעים לאליפות. כמו כן בפוסט הזה יפורסמו עדכונים בנוגע לתוצאות, משתתפים, וחוויות שונות ומשונות מהתחרות (הכל כדי לגרום לכם לרצות להיות שם גם שנה הבאה כמובן )

i'm in berlin at the moment. the last few days have been crazy. jamming all day long with the local berlin jammers and also with james, daniel and rob fried from the US.
yesterday there was the traditional hat tournament before the worlds. i was picked with anton cappelleman and sash, took second place
tomorrow everybody's going to Prague. it's just a few days before freestyle's biggest event is starting.

miss you all in Israel, people have really shown interest in coming here and jamming all day and partying all night.

[ltr]Hi everybody! one more update from frisbeeland
Berlin was really great, tomorrow morning i leave to Prague, hopfully there won't be an air strike.
most of the Berlin jammers have already made it to Prague and rumors are that it's going to be the biggest world champinpship yet. yesterday we had the chance of adding a new Berlin jammer who was quite great from the beginning. can't wait to see him next year. also there is a jammer from the US named Emma, who already shows some amazing skills. follow her carefully, she's a promising one!
I'll post another update the minute i have a chance to do so in Prague.

[ltr]Hello everybody! updating from Amsterdam
'the last week in Prgaue has been nothing less than amazzzzzing. jams all around the clock and insane routines, and of course new world champions. i wasn't able to update because the internet in the hotel broke
down.

the wind at the field was very hard, changing both direction and speed every few seconds. many great teams have suffered from it until the semifinals, when they've decided to move indoors.
I played with Kolja Hanneman from Berlin in open pairs, we were eliminated at the 2nd round after having a good time and trying to keep the wind from bringing us down. in Co op i played with Ryan Young from Seattle and Jakub Kostel from Prague. we were also eliminated in the 2nd round.

after the insanity was done we've had 2 days of jams and sightseeing, and also a first preview of the greatest Frisbee documentary - The Invisible String.
one sad thing that happened is that yesterday Charlene Powell from Seattle fell during the jam and dislocated her shoulder. she was taken care at the hospital and now she's on her way back to Seattle. we all wish her well.

in a few days there will be a massive jam in Zandvoort beach, just a 15 minute train ride from Amsterdam, also known as AmsterJam! for now i know that apart from me the Amsterjam will include Iwan, Gregory, Tom
Leitner and Rob Fried. I will keep you guys updated.

[ltr]Hello Everyone! Lusti here from Amsterdam!
first a little update from this beautiful place- many worldwide jammers have come here to take place in the huge jam in Zandvoort beach, which is AmsterJam! in here are two new players from norway called Magnus and Sedric, Rob Fried, Heather, Bill Wright, Sue Strait, Tom Leitner, and Sascha Scherzinger and Tim from Germany. of course Gregory and Iwan are here and making it a wonderful time for all of us. a few days ago James Wiseman and Johnathan Willet were also here and everybody got a taste from Jam Square

now to business:
Dori - the movie was still a pre-version. the movie itself is not complete yet, but it is in it's final stages. what we saw was a very good sneak peak at what it's going to be. the footage is very rare and old, and everything is detailed to the finest.
when the actual movie will be out, i'm guessing everybody will know about it

one more important thing:
all over the world people are asking when there's gonna be a tournament in Israel. everybody's expecting a bid for worlds 2014 or EFC. people have even shown interest in coming for just a hat tournament, and alot of them would love to come and enjoy the sights of our beautiful country while jamming in the best beaches in the world.

today is my last day in Amsterdam. tomorrow afternoon i'll be back and able to tell you a little bit more in person about the wonderful things i've been through in my FET - Freestyle Euro Trip

אם רוצים 2012 צריך לזוז... הייתי ב EFC השנה ואמרתי שאולי יהיה BID מישראל לאליפות אירופה 2012, אבל כבר היה היום האחרון לשליחת ההצעות אם אני לא טועה...
